About the Project

For years, Pinterest had no singular destination for users, regulators, and investors to learn about the company’s commitments to environmental and social progress. As a Content Strategy Lead, I was tasked with creating just such a destination: the Pinterest Impact Hub.

Rather than add another site to Pinterest’s catalog, the hub would be a microsite experience within the Pinterest Newsroom, where press and investors find the latest news and updates.

The challenge? Transform a 68-page PDF report detailing Pinterest’s ESG efforts (and riddled with legalese) into an engaging web experience. Working in lockstep with the report’s authors, the Corporate Affairs team, my team and I developed the site with a goal of striking the right balance between legal compliance and user experience.

I built wireframes, wrote all site pages and UX copy, collaborated with the engineering team to build new features, and oversaw a months-long approvals process that touched just about every corner of the organization, including C-Suite leaders.
